Please note: I received free products to facilitate this post from MomsMeet.com and Sea Bands. All opinions are my own. Thank you!
The first 3 months of my first pregnancy were far from magical. There were many times when my life consisted of nothing more than constant bouts of crying, sleeping, and running to the bathroom because of pregnancy-induced nausea. While for many women the symptoms of pregnancy nausea subside by week 14-16, for me that wasn’t the case. Which is why I was ecstatic to find Sea-Band products.
So, how do Sea-Bands help with nausea symptoms at home? Acupressure.
The Sea-Band wristband is a washable, reusable, knitted wristband equipped with an acupressure plastic stud that when attached on the inside of each wristband, provides natural nausea relief. Sea Band Mama! is designed to fit snugly which allows the acupressure stud to applies just enough pressure to stimulate the P6 {or Nei-Kuan} acupressure point. I love that these wristbands are a
clinically proven, drug-free, all-natural, safe alternative to combat pregnancy nausea, motion sickness, and vomiting at home and on-the-go. Moreover, a recent Journal of American Medical Association study recommended acupressure and Ginger as solutions to relieve morning sickness. As well, an Italian study has also found that morning sickness was reduced in 70% of women who used Sea-Band acupressure bands.
The best part of using Sea-Bands for me was the relief I felt with 20 minutes of applying these bands to my wrists after eating meals at home. It was a fabulous feeling it was to not have to rush to a bathroom every 35 minutes.
Keep in mind, these sweater bracelets are a little on the pricey side (as are most homeopathic products comparable on the market), but in my opinion were worth every bit of their cost. Sea Bands can be found in the pharmacy area of most drugstores. In my store, they were located in the first aid aisle by the conventional anti-nausea medications.
I have also had great success with wearing these bands while boating, swimming, and hiking as well. Sea-Band allows me to stay nausea-free on most outings and sporting events! These bands are also very pretty on. They come in dark pink and a lighter pink – very subtle, feminine shades that can be worn with any outfit.
Sea Band also carries Ginger Gum ($6.99), which contains 25mg of ginger oil – equivalent to 8g of fresh ginger root per piece. Sea Band also carries bands for children and the gentlemen in your life as well as an essential oil roll on too! You can purchase Sea-Band products online ($9.99-$11.99) as well as your local drugstore or market.
If you’d like to find out more about these products be sure to connect with Sea-Band on Facebook to learn more about their nausea relief products and keep up to date on news. Friends, these bands can be a lifesaver for you and your family, and I encourage you to try these products out for yourself at home. Now I have to ask, have you tried the Sea Bands line of products at home or are you interested in trying these products out at home? If so, I’d love to hear about it below!
