“King of Kings” Movie Review & Giveaway

Throughout my childhood, few things have brought me more joy than a good story — especially those of the famed nineteenth-century writer and novelist, Charles Dickens. From “A Tale of Two Cities” to “The Old Curiosity Shop,” Dickens‘ tales of humility and prose have shaped my life in immeasurable ways. Making the new film, “King of Kings, directed and written by Seong-ho Jang, composed by Kim Tae-seong, distributed by Angel Studios, and starring Kenneth Branagh, Uma Thurman, Mark Hamill, Pierce Brosnan, Roman Griffin Davis, Forest Whitaker, Ben Kingsley, and Oscar Isaac, is the PG animated film of the summer season.

King of Kings,” the faith-based film dramatizing the Gospel of Jesus Christ’s ministry, features themes of family and kinship, and tells the story of Christ’s life from a childlike perspective. Featuring themes of connection and love, Angel Studio’s newest animated film will warm the hearts of audiences familiar with the filmmaker’s catalog of quality, family-friendly films. Retelling the works of Charles Dickens, as told from the final weeks of Christ’s ministry, from conception to resurrection, themes of Barabbas to the Jewish uprisings during the age of Christ.

Angel Studio’s newest animated tale shares the childlike perspective of the later days of Jesus Christ’s life, told through the yarns of Charles Dickens. “The King of Kings” is a clever retelling of the gospels that Dickens wrote for his children, now shared with audiences of all ages. Coming to fruition in the decade after Dickens‘ famed “The Christmas Carol,” sharing a child-like view of the famed Christian redemption story.
