Wear Sunglasses

It’s important to keep your eyes out of direct sunlight at all times. Sunlight contains UV light which can be very damaging to your eyes if they are exposed to it for prolonged periods of time.

Those who do expose their eyes to too much UV will find that they are at an increased risk of cataracts and other eye health conditions. So, if the forecast says it’s going to be a sunny day, you need to reach for your sunglasses to protect your peepers!

Need the sun to come out today so that I can wear my cute new @jeeperspeepersofficial 🙂

Get Skin Tags Removed

As you age, you might find that you start to develop some skin tags around your eyes. These are fleshy lumps of skin that sometimes grow around the body, and the eye is a common area for them to develop.

If you find that you do start to develop a skin tag on the eyelid or elsewhere, it’s worth getting a professional to remove it for you. There are methods to self-treat these kinds of blemishes, but as the eye is a very sensitive area, it is very much recommended to get professional help.

Eat Well

It’s really important to eat a healthy and balanced diet to enjoy continued good eye health. As well as a balanced diet, you should try and eat foods that are rich in certain nutrients and vitamins, such as vitamins C and E and Omega 3 fatty acids. These can help ward off signs of aging and can also cut down the risk of conditions such as cataracts.

Visit Your Optician On A Regular Basis

Ideally, you need to see your optician once a year. This isn’t just to find out if your glasses prescription has changed – they will be able to spot the early signs of eye diseases and will be able to nip any eye health issues in the bud before things get any worse. If you do already suffer from certain eye conditions, you might need to see your optician on a more regular basis.

Hopefully, you can now enjoy younger and healthier eyes!
