With Spring comes all things wanderlust. Which is why I loved reading the new YA title, A Drop of Hope, a new book from Keith Calabrese. A book that the students in my husband’s classes haven’t been able to put down.

This book has everything that young readers like – a bit of magic, intrigue, missing treasure, and new found friendships that will appeal to both boys and girls. the book
for family read alouds.

A Drop of Hope is great for readers aged 8–12 that offers a myriad of teachable lessons. Everything from empathy and hope to grace and even shares how simple acts of kindness can create waves of hopefulness and peace that even the smallest of readers can take something away from at home this season.

I love that this book teaches children to be empathetic in small ays that they can apply in their own lives and even with those closest to themselves at home. After all,  this day and age, we need all the kindness we can get.

I was also delighted to hear that the author of the book, Keith Calabrese, is a screenwriter and this book, A Drop of Hope is his debut that he wrote on a dare from his daughter. I mean, talk about great teachable moments and career advancements!
