Good afternoon, savvy savers! For this weeks Tuesday Tutorials post, I wanted to share with you one of my favorite tricks for finishing off the look of several rooms in my home, DIY curtain rods!
To achieve this look, I use $2.00 painted dowel rods (using free paint samples from Lowe’s), attached to the wall with a couple screw-in, large size metal hooks; the rod rests within the hooks, and the hooks are concealed under the edges of the curtain! For a more decorative end cap, hot glue door knobs or pulls to the ends of the rods, if you like the look better! The panel was purchased for an additional $2.00 at my local TJ Maxx!
That’s it! Why pay upwards of $30.00 for a barred curtain rod, when you can make your own for $2.00! Here’s to saving!
