Introducing the Awakening to God Today App

Disclosure: I will receive a compensation for me sharing this information with you. Thank you!

I’m nothing but a creature of habit. I start each morning with the same routine: I wake up, attend to my kiddos, get my husband out the door to work, have a walk on my treadmill, shower, and have breakfast while spending time in the word. So as you might have guessed, as I utilize journals and devotionals each morning I have gone through numerous devotionals over the years. While all of my devotionals have all been excellent in their own right with one exception.

None of these devotionals and journals were available to me when I am out and about in town. You know, the moments when you’re waiting for a doctor’s appointment or waiting in line at the store. Those perfect moments when you’d like to write in your journal, but your devotionals are always at home. Then steps in the devotional journaling app, Awakening to God Today.

Awakening to God Today a Devotional Journal App

The Awakening to God Today is a devotional journal that helps you enjoy your walk with God, with inspirational 8-minute devotional minutes with God at the start of each day. The app also helps you to learn to memorize scripture, pray, and journal as well. The app also provides users with lots of great ideas to build your faith, share scripture with friends and family, encourage and lift up others in faith, as well as to strengthen family devotions. Which as a Christian, is very important to me.

One of the aspects of this app that I loved best is its personalized feeling, which is due largely in part to the app’s creators, Gerald & Jeannie Long. The pair has experienced success and wealth based on the values of the world and also the suffering that comes from the death of two of their three children.  On their journey, God has revealed His grace and glory to them in most extraordinary ways.  And it is their own unbelievable journey that leads them to the creation of this app.

I also love that the ATG app allows users to add comments and photos. There is also a template you can use to help you jumpstart your journaling success. There is also a daily inspirational quote from the Bible prompt that you can use as a starting point for your journaling as well.

Also worth noting, the ATG app is the daily 8-minute devotional. So why the number 8? In Hebrew, the number 8 signifies new beginnings, so that’s why the app recommends you spend 8 minutes journaling with God each day. There is also a timeline feature that allows you to chronicle past journal entries. A helpful tool for charting my daily walk with God.

I’ve been using this app along with my Bible each day. It’s a wonderful way to begin my mornings on a deeper and more personal level when it comes to my daily Bible readings and devotionals. My favorite part?  I snap a pic of something I find that’s inspirational that day and it helps to set the temperature and spiritual direction for the day ahead. A feature that helps to remind me of what I have to be thankful for. This is definitely a glass-half-full kind of app!

Currently, the ATG is available in the App Store and Google Play. I encourage you all to check this devotional journal app today to help you in your own seasonal devotional journaling journey. You can check it out here.

So now everyone, I have to ask,  have you ever thought about using a devotional journal app? If so, I’d love to hear about it below!

Here’s to journaling,
