Hello again, spooktacular savers! This is day two of my three month fall savings series here on The Lady Prefers2Save! I am truly excited to be starting a new blog series, and hope that you all will follow along! Each day I will feature money-saving suggestions, tips, recipes, projects, or yard decorating ideas with budget-savvy families in mind! So, for this 3rd series post, and keeping with our Freebie Friday Theme, I want to discuss one of my favorite ways to add a fun, spooky flair to my home decor, on a dime this Fall! Today’s post features my favorite American Halloween Tradition, State Halloween-themed Ghost Stories, Mysteries, and Legends!
One of my favorite memories as a child was during the month of Halloween when my parents would read aloud Halloween Tales of American Past, and luckily for us today, there is a great website called American Folklore, which offers a fun list of audio books, videos, and podcasts, suitable for young children, pre-teen, preschoolers, and older children alike. Why watch horror movies, when our own nation is full of such a vast array of amazing, intriguing, and spine tinging tales of yesteryear!
