Hello again, spooktacular savers! This is day two of my three month fall savings series here on The Lady Prefers2Save! I am truly excited to be starting a new blog series, and hope that you all will follow along! Each day I will feature money-saving suggestions, tips, recipes, projects, or yard decorating ideas with budget-savvy families in mind! For today’s post I wanted to share with you a very affordable way to create a Halloween look for your home bookshelves, baker’s racks, or other storage areas, by creating small Halloween vignettes on a budget!
To create this look, I simply combined my existing decorations, in small groups of odd numbers, with common themes, and voila, arrangements. I used glittered pumpkins, homemade pillows, and my Halloween snow globe collection! I also added my set of accordion fold Halloween silhouettes, which will be awesome come Halloween night!
I created a similar, smaller vignettes for both my bakers rack and antique pie safe, which included my favorite candle holders, three Halloween-themed nutcrackers, decorative mosaic Halloween plates, and witches stocking!
What’s even better, as I’m in the process of stripping my dinning room of wallpaper, the weathered walls lend itself to the low-key Autumn theme I was going for. These simple arrangements are fun, and practical, as for my I did not have to come out of pocket to create any of these looks, and for me, that’s just awesome! I believe that by simply changing the look of my shelves seasonally, I can inexpensively change the overall look of my bedroom. Besides, who doesn’t like a little whimsy, on a dime!
Here’s to Fall,
