Hello again, savvy savers! This afternoon finds us with a new book review, and this time it’s Petit Collage: 25 Easy Craft and Décor Projects for a Playful Home, by Lorena Siminovich.
As many in my readership may know, I am a great crafter! I love DIY, upcycled projects! I am also in the process of TTC, and when I was offered the option of reviewing this book, I jumped at the chance!
PetitCollage: 25 Easy Craft and Décor Projects for a Playful Home by Lorena Siminovich. I was pleased to discover a book with doable projects that emphasized making use of basic materials and reusing, re purposing, and recycling materials already in my home. As you read through the projects there are difficulty ratings that let you know which projects are quick to complete, which may require drying overnight or multiple steps, and so on.
The book is divided into 3 categories:
◾Room to Grow
It is definitely a book aimed at adult crafters, with an emphasize on joint crafting with children. The projects often include tips for customizing the creation, for example changing the ear shape on a bunny clock to create a different animal, or changing the colors you use to make a project holiday themed. In a few places the book shares ideas for small projects a child can do alongside the adult crafter with the materials at hand.
The projects, while simple, are legentat, easy, and lasting. These are te projects that your children will remember completing with you. These are the projects which can be created for giff giving for your children.
This book is a must-have read for building an greener, upcycled home library!
