Good morning, savvy savers! Today finds us with our first of two book reviews for the day. My first review is for It’s a God Thing: When Miracles Happen to Everyday People, by Don Jacobson. To begin, Don Jacobson, for those who may now know, is the founder of D.C. Jacobson & Associates, an author management company, specializing in books, he perceives will have lasting social and religious impacts, that will change the overall dealing people have in faith-based communities. It’ a God Thing, is a collection of uplifting faith-based stories, all of which show instances where people facing great hardships, personal, financial, and social situations, who are also to overcome their innate circumstances by their personal belief and relationship with God. The author seeks to show the reader that common circumstance and coincidence, are merely intentional God-like stepping stones, to help people not only out of desperation, but to help individuals and families to move closer to a relationship with God. Though these stories might appeal to a Christian-genre, the stories to stand to provide life-lessons to those from all walks of life, and therefore could be regarded as inspiring literature, and not just faith-based analogy.
